Philately Chat Bot
After trying to learn philately for six years as an absolute novice, I found it very difficult to find information on certain aspects of stamps. It required reading endless posts on stamp boards and facebook groups, searching google or reading stamp catalogues.
None of these sources told the full story or provided open accessibility to stamp errors, issues, shades, perforations, printing, paper, water marks and a plethora of other queries I had.
So I built my own large language model using all of the stamp journals published from 1860’s to about 1915 at this time. I am continually adding to the database but it has 100,000’s of pages already indexed.
I have been able to search it via chat feature for all manner of information regarding specific stamps and philately in general.
My focus was for Australian stamps only buy I accidentally built an international catalogue of international philately along the way.

How to Use the Chat Bot
You will be faced with a blank screen. Down the bottom a prompt says Start Typing. This is where you ask your question. Be specific as possible. The model can time out (truncate) on information output if the question is too broad – this is common in chat bots. Your history will remain in the upper pane when you return.
I’ve got up to 1915 on the large journals but I will be continually adding more and more. My goal is to have them all up and searchable for anyone to find out anything about any stamp from the philatelists who discovered it all and experienced and recorded it in real time.
